The Fog Dodgers invite all residents and visitors of the Mendocino Coast to join us on our weekly group runs and walks. We have runners and walkers of all abilities (and even some bikers) and we have only one "rule" - we start at exactly 8:00 a.m. on Sundays. Exercise at your own pace (1/2 hour out, 1/2 hour back) and experience the fresh Mendocino coastal air.

Fog Dodgers provides a fun, safe way to explore some of our local trails and back roads and to meet new friends. You can find out where we're going to be by reading the bottom of last week's post, then clicking on the "Our Routes" tab above. We average 15-20 persons each Sunday and typically half will go to breakfast together afterwards at a nearby restaurant.

Noyo Headlands Park North

Well, today we truly were the Fog Dodgers. It actually was very pleasant to have that light, Fort Bragg fog, after all the recent spectacular weather.  But, with no wind and a pleasant 52 degrees, it made for a great walk/run. John took this foggy picture of the Noyo Bridge this morning.  Next to it is how it looked yesterday!

As Tom’s away and I’m writing the blog, you’ll be surprised to see a list of names for the 13 people that came this morning, but I had a special request from Zelda!  You’ll not be surprised however, if I missed someone, so apologies if I did miss  you.

The new Noyo Headlands trails continue to provide wonderful walks and spectacular views of our coastline.  Even today, in the mist, it looked beautiful, but in the morning sun, just can’t be beaten.

In attendance this morning were Neil, Rick, Nancy B, Roger, Nancy T, Toni, Joe, Joel, John, Susan, Bruce, Fran, and of course Zelda. Our group was fortunate to include Joe, the artist, as he was able to explain the significance of the unusual design of the bench dedicated to Jere Mello.

Unfortunately, I can’t find anything funny to report today, probably as I was having trouble waking up this morning, so here’s a joke instead.  What did the fog say to the fog dodgers, having been away for a while?  – I mist you.

Quickly moving on, I took a photo this morning of Toni, Nancy B and Joe walking off into the mist – sort of capturing this morning’s very pleasant walk.
Just a reminder that next Saturday is the world’s largest Salmon Barbecue.  It’s always a wonderful event, so hope to see you there.
