The Fog Dodgers invite all residents and visitors of the Mendocino Coast to join us on our weekly group runs and walks. We have runners and walkers of all abilities (and even some bikers) and we have only one "rule" - we start at exactly 8:00 a.m. on Sundays. Exercise at your own pace (1/2 hour out, 1/2 hour back) and experience the fresh Mendocino coastal air.

Fog Dodgers provides a fun, safe way to explore some of our local trails and back roads and to meet new friends. You can find out where we're going to be by reading the bottom of last week's post, then clicking on the "Our Routes" tab above. We average 15-20 persons each Sunday and typically half will go to breakfast together afterwards at a nearby restaurant.

Low Tide at Glass Beach

We met at Glass Beach on this kind of typical coastal morning.  It was overcast, 55 and the southerly breeze was light.  By the time we finished, it was a "Chamber of Commerce" morning, sunny, light breeze and probably 30 degrees cooler than "over the hill."

Present this morning:  Shari, John, Fran, Jean, Beth, Bob, Kim, Deb, Sam, Charlene, Cheryl, Scott, Eric, Nancy and Tom (15).  50% of us went to Denny's Restaurant afterwards.  We've come to really enjoy Denny's, though it is also shunned by many.  It is a "chain restaurant" but it is locally owned, the "55 Menu" has prices that can't be beat, it's quieter than our other options and we can always get enough seats together.

NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 28TH, 8:00 A.M.,  GROUP RUN/WALK/BIKE, NAVARRO RIDGE ROAD.
This will start at the Whitesboro Grange which enables us to enjoy a great pancake breakfast after our walk, run, or bike.  You can click on "Our Routes" at the top of the page for directions if needed.

EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN/WALK @ 7:30 A.M.: COASTAL TRAIL - MIDDLE, behind the Fort Bragg Fire Station.
