The Fog Dodgers invite all residents and visitors of the Mendocino Coast to join us on our weekly group runs and walks. We have runners and walkers of all abilities (and even some bikers) and we have only one "rule" - we start at exactly 8:00 a.m. on Sundays. Exercise at your own pace (1/2 hour out, 1/2 hour back) and experience the fresh Mendocino coastal air.

Fog Dodgers provides a fun, safe way to explore some of our local trails and back roads and to meet new friends. You can find out where we're going to be by reading the bottom of last week's post, then clicking on the "Our Routes" tab above. We average 15-20 persons each Sunday and typically half will go to breakfast together afterwards at a nearby restaurant.

Noyo Coastal Trail- North, starting at Glass Beach

House near Glass Beach

The morning was a little cooler than forecast, but with no wind and and lots of sunshine, it was a lovely morning for a walk.  By the time we were returning to the car-park, it was quite warm and I think most of had stripped off our jackets.

This morning we had Nancy B & Rick, Gay & Mark, Roger & Nancy T, Shari & Peter, Joe, John, Bob and Ron & Charlene walking the North Headlands Trail.  The North and South trails are now connected with the latest section that's been added to the Coastal Trail.

I think most of the walkers went along this new section around the Mill Pond, but didn't quite get to the South trail before turning round.  I'm sure the runners got to the end of the South trail.

For one of our future walks, we should try and arrange to leave cars at both ends, so we can walk the whole trail.
