The Fog Dodgers invite all residents and visitors of the Mendocino Coast to join us on our weekly group runs and walks. We have runners and walkers of all abilities (and even some bikers) and we have only one "rule" - we start at exactly 8:00 a.m. on Sundays. Exercise at your own pace (1/2 hour out, 1/2 hour back) and experience the fresh Mendocino coastal air.

Fog Dodgers provides a fun, safe way to explore some of our local trails and back roads and to meet new friends. You can find out where we're going to be by reading the bottom of last week's post, then clicking on the "Our Routes" tab above. We average 15-20 persons each Sunday and typically half will go to breakfast together afterwards at a nearby restaurant.

EASTER AT BIG RIVER LOGGING ROAD

It is a beautiful day along the coast.  We no longer have an Easter Bunny but it was still a great Fog Dodger Easter run and walk.  We were at Big River and at our 8:00 a.m. start, it was 46 degrees, with bright sunny skies.  By the time we had finished, it was up to 56 degrees.

Thank you, John, for all of today's photos and for bringing along the family, Barbara, Sara and Ethan.  It looks to me, like Ethan beat Bob by about one stride in their 6 mile run.  Great job, Ethan!

Also present today,  Charlene, Ron, Catherine, David, Gay, Mark, Cheryl N., Neil, Shari, Peter, Nancy B., Rick, Toni, Joe, Jan, Nancy T., Roger, Rod, Nancy and Tom (25).

Next week, the wildflowers will be great along the headlands.  Walk/run out along the single track trail between Glass Beach and Pudding Creek.   I hope the weather forecast improves but right now, there's a good chance that it will be cloudy with showers.  We're still waiting for the now connected Coastal Trails to open to the public........... Editing change, on 4/4, thanks to Ron for the report that the Coastal Trail connection is now open!  Check it out!  I've adjusted the starting point on a couple of run/walks below to take advantage of our new trail.
