Salmon trolling, J. Loomis photo |
Thanks John, for today's photos. There weren't a lot of boats out this morning but those that were out, seemed to be clustered near each other, meaning one of them must have mentioned catching something.
Independence Day falls on Thursday this year. With the World's Largest Salmon BBQ and the fireworks show happening on Saturday, it will be busy around here next weekend. I think that by going up to Ward Ave., we will avoid many people and we can take advantage of a good minus tide. Hopefully, the weather will be like this morning.
Present this morning: Fran, Gay, Mark, Toni, Joe, Shari, Peter, Nancy B., Charlene, Ron, Nancy T., Cindy, Cheryl N., Neil, Erin, Chandra, John, Nancy and Tom (19).
NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 7TH @ 8:00 A.M.: WARD AVENUE (there's a good low tide about the time of our run/walk, so this will be an opportunity for anyone wishing to run or walk the beach).
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN @ 7:00 A.M.: BIG RIVER LOGGING ROAD ON TUESDAY AND HEESER DRIVE/MENDOCINO ON THURSDAY.
