The morning couldn't have been much better, 55, sunny, and just a light breeze. You could see for miles and with about 20 salmon trollers offshore nearby, it was just perfect!
Thanks, John, for the photos today. Top left is, a gate? Actually, it's the view looking north from where we started. To the right is a redwood tree and I'm not sure if it's John's work or something he observed. It looks like some
of John's handiwork.
Lastly, below, wildflowers at The Coastal Trail.
It was nice to have Chandra, Pat and Leon back. Also present were: Fran, Nancy B., Rick, Cindy, Shari, Peter, Nancy T., Cheryl N., Neil, Charlene, Ron, John, Toni, Joe, Deb, Sam, Nancy and Tom (21).
I think there were 14 of us that enjoyed breakfast at David's after the run/walk. We talked a little about the new access point for getting on to the Coastal Trail. Nancy T. is going to edit it in to the maps, found by clicking on "Our Routes" near the top of the page. We think it will be called Coastal Trail - Middle or something like that and be described generally as "Firehouse". At least that is what it is for next week. (Later added, it's in there ("Our Routes") now. Easy to find.

This middle access point to the Coastal Trail has more improvements to be completed. Once finished, I think it will be our most frequently used starting point. It should be very nice and gives a person several different directions when starting out.
NEXT SUNDAY, JUNE 16th @ 8:00 A.M.: GROUP RUN AND WALK, COASTAL TRAIL - Middle (behind the Firehouse, between Oak and Alder Streets) This will be our first time starting from here.
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN @ 7:00 A.M.: BIG RIVER LOGGING ROAD ON TUESDAY AND HEESER DRIVE/MENDOCINO ON THURSDAY.
