This morning, the weather site said it was 57 in town, on the shoreline it was a little cooler but still, a beautiful morning for walking along the beach.

It was interesting to see a couple of large excavators moving boulders around. They're working right at the underpass near the Laguna Point parking lot, getting ready for the expected "super-sized" winter storms of the coming "Super El Nino". That's a spot where the ocean had already started to cut under the roadway a couple of years back.
Thanks to our Roving Photographer, John, for some really nice photos again.
It's been 21 weeks since we've walked at Big River. That's because of the mosquitoes there in the warmer months. Next week we'll give it another try. Hopefully the mosquitoes have gone back to bed or wherever but you might want to put a little repellent on the back of your neck and ears.
NEXT SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11TH, 8:00 A,M, GROUP RUN/WALK/BIKE, BIG RIVER.
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, 7:30 A,M. GROUP RUN/WALK/BIKE, COASTAL TRAIL - MIDDLE, (behind the Fort Bragg Fire Station).
