Hard to believe, that summer IS over. Though the daytime conditions have been incredibly nice, the evenings and mornings are beginning to have a chill. The 47 degrees at this morning's start felt colder than it really was.
John is and has been very busy and couldn't make it today, so he's pulled some of his saved photos of the Little River area from the files, enjoy! Thanks, John.
Present today: Fran, Charlene, Ron, Bob, Cheryl N., Neil, Nancy T., Roger, Nancy B., Rick, Shari, Peter, Toni, Nancy and Tom (15).
Twelve of us went to breakfast at the Little River Inn and that was nice. We talked a little bit about the status of Ten Mile River Logging Road. I think, actually several of us thought, that we can probably still walk and run that road without a problem, so next week we will give it a try. I know that it is a long drive from those in Little River but it's a beautiful venue and maybe there will still be some blackberries.
Also, with the mornings being cooler, I think that we can resume running and walking at Big River, so that's coming up in a couple of weeks.
Future run/walks:
9/16 Ten Mile River
9/23 Big River
9/30 Caspar Logging Road
NEXT SUNDAY, SEPT. 16th @ 8:00 A.M., GROUP RUN AND WALK, TEN MILE RIVER LOGGING ROAD, see "Our Routes" above for directions if you need them.
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN @ 7:00 A.M.: Russian Gulch State Park on Tuesday and Mendocino (Heeser Dr.) on Thursday.
