It was a gorgeous morning, half cloudy and half sunny, 53 degrees and calm. There was a light, misty fog when we began. We met at Ward Avenue, some went north along the beach and some went south, along the Haul Road.

A town full of bikes today |
Maybe some of you remember six years ago, when we ran and walked on Navarro Ridge Road on the Sunday of the California 10,000? That was the day that these dirt bikes all went past us on their way back to Willows or wherever. Johnny looked up the name of the ride, "California ...." and I added the 10,000, because it seemed there were that many bikes! As it is each 4th Sunday in May, town was full of them today. We're smarter now.
