John supplied all of today's photos. I like this one of the Coast Guard surf boat returning to port. The swells this morning were large and I can only guess that they were out playing (practicing).
Present today: Charlene, Ron, Cheryl, Neil, Shari, Peter, Nancy T., Joel, Deb, Sam, Greg, Keith, Joe, John, Nancy and Tom (16).
This morning at 8:00, it was 42 degrees with just a slight breeze and completely overcast. John's photo to the right shows it exactly right.
The large swells made for some beautiful breaking waves. The air was clear enough to see the surrounding mountains, a couple with snow on them still. You could see all the way to Cape Mendocino and Cahto Peak clearly.
Two months ago we ran and walked on Navarro Ridge Road for the first time since July of 2018. The Grange volunteers were happy to see us back and gave us great service and food. So, let's try it again! One Fog Dodger told me that they didn't like pancakes. So, just have the ham and eggs. Nancy brought our own vegan pancake batter and they gladly cooked us vegan pancakes! Give it a try folks, it's not much further than Ten Mile or Little River, maybe 10 minutes. You'll like it, I guarantee it.
Thanks again to John, always giving me something to make the blog look a little more interesting. This buck to the left was near our start this morning. He'll be losing those antlers very soon.
NEXT SUNDAY, JAN. 26TH, 8:00 A.M., GROUP RUN AND WALK, NAVARRO RIDGE ROAD
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN @ 7:00 A.M.: BIG RIVER LOGGING ROAD ON TUESDAY AND HEESER DRIVE/MENDOCINO ON THURSDAY.
