We hadn't been at Russian Gulch for quite awhile. The trail had issues, including fallen trees, poison oak and mud. This return today, was to see if conditions have changed. It was 52 degrees and overcast and along the headlands, a bit breezy. Amazingly, the Fern Canyon Trail looked exactly as it did a year or so ago, when we last ran it. It's passable but in very poor condition.
Kind of a last minute thing here, posting the next seven photos. I had started this post early, so that I could save a little time this morning, had some other things to do. Anyway, Zelda sent all these great photos from this morning and so I'm just sticking them in here. Thank you Zelda! The pictures show how beautiful it is here on the coast.
