This morning's run/walk was on the MacKerricher Haul Road. You never know, when choosing a location for the next week's activity, just how the weather will be. MacKerricher can be terribly windy and even boring at times. We were lucky today, it was absolutely beautiful! It was 48, sunny and calm. The minus tide made for beautiful intertidal scenes and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom. John was at MacKerricher yesterday, similar to today's weather and thought this guy sort of typified the place and time. I think he got a pretty good shot:
Present this morning were: Steve G. and Orah and a guest, Susie, Hector, Charlene, Ron, Gay, Mark, Cindy, Jim, Laurie, Johnny, Brad, Kim, Adeline, Brian, John, Bob, Caleb, Cheryl, Neil, Scott, Maddelyn, Nancy T., Roger, Nancy and Tom (27). Afterwards, 14 of us had a very nice breakfast at the Laurel Deli at the Depot.
NEXT SUNDAY, 4/25/10, 8:00 A.M., JACKSON STATE FOREST ROAD 400, HARE CREEK, beginning on Gravel Pit Road, which is out Hwy. 20, 2 1/4 miles, turn right and go about 100 yards to the locked yellow gate.
TUESDAYS, 7:00 A.M., RUSSIAN GULCH STATE PARK, beginning on Point Cabrillo Drive, 1/10 of a mile north of it's south end.
THURSDAYS, 7:00 A.M., VAN DAMME STATE PARK, beginning at the beach.
