View looking south across Noyo Bay |
You hear that? |
It was a beautiful morning on the Fort Bragg Headlands. We ran, walked and biked, beginning on the south end of the Coastal Trail. I was on a bike, so I'm not sure if anyone walked across the Noyo Bridge or not, but it would have been a good morning for doing so. There were quite a few boats out trolling for salmon and the ocean was beautiful.
Getting ready |
Present this morning: Pat, Leon, Nancy T., Cheryl N., Neil, Charlene, Ron, Bob, John,
Scott, Shari, Fran, Nancy and Tom (14).
Thanks again to John, he kind of keeps this blog pretty. Here's some nice Dahlia pictures from his garden.
And a picture of a few Fog Dodgers getting ready.
I wish that I could pick Big River or Little River or some other venue but with mosquitoes, trail erosion and possible State Park closures, we really only have Caspar and Noyo. If somebody can come up with a better place to meet, I would sure like to hear about it. Remember though, you've got keep everyone happy, runners, walkers and bike riders. With that said,
NEXT SUNDAY, JULY 26TH, 8:00 A.M., GROUP RUN, WALK AND BIKE, CASPAR LOGGING ROADS
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN, BIKE, AND WALK @ 7:00 A.M., for now, we're starting behind the Fort Bragg Fire Station and using the Coastal Trail - Middle access on Tuesdays. On Thursdays, we are starting at Harvest Market at Mendosa's, Mendocino.
