An overcast morning; not too warm and not too cold. Perfect for a brisk walk or a run.
The photo below, which is from John Loomis' collection, is a scene from the Old Cabrillo Highway near our route today.
John also shared his iconic photo of the Highway One bridge over Russian Gulch, shot from the bluff, which represents the way sky looked this morning.
Cheryl brought a friend, Laura, and John was there to run also. The rest of us walked down the hill and kept going until it was time to turn around, which luckily coincided with skipping a mucky area. Too bad the rain hasn't lasted long, but nice there wasn't too much muck left over from our little bit of rain earlier in the week. We were 15 in total including Donna who brought a friend, Lynn; Toni and Joe, Charlene, Neil, who brought his friends Sarah and Michael; Fay and Peter and Shari. Of course I have to include myself, Nancy B. who is playing leader of the band today. Hope you're having a great trip Tom and Nancy and hope roger and Nancy are having a wonderful far east experience!
NEXT SUNDAY, DATE @ 8:00 A.M.: Caspar Logging Roads
EVERY TUESDAY @ 7:00 A.M.: RUSSIAN GULCH STATE PARK, beginning on Point Cabrillo Drive, 1/10 of a mile north of its south end.
EVERY THURSDAY @ 7:00 A.M.: VAN DAMME STATE PARK, beginning at the beach.

Thanks for writing the blog, Nancy. It was fun to read but I'm sorry to have missed the run. Instead, Nancy and I walked some very nice trail here in Forest City, IA. We spent the day driving thru Minnesota. I feel lost, as just two days ago, we were in the Grand Tetons and yesterday, at Mount Rushmore. Slowing down now but looking forward to reading more of the Fog Dodger's blogs. Nice photos, John!
