Welcome Beth! Thanks, Jan, for recruiting another runner! Hopefully Beth's run was enjoyable and she will return to run with us regularly.

Caspar Creek Heron, J. Loomis photo |
We ran and walked the Caspar Logging Roads today. It was 49 degrees with just a thin overcast and the sun was trying to break through. Conditions were just right for a little exercise.

Road 500, which is the road most of us used today, has a lot of loose rock and also a lot of large embedded rocks, all perfect for tripping up runners. I don't know what to do about it, we'll just have to be super careful not to fall victim. This, I think, is still perhaps our best venue, since it works for everyone and other than the tripping hazards, is in good condition year round.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 18TH, WARD AVENUE, see "Our Routes" above. A nice (0.5 at 6:30 a.m.) low tide if you like walking or running the beach.
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, GROUP RUN @ 7:00 A.M.: BIG RIVER LOGGING ROAD.
